Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Targeting Cancer-Related Inflammation



Walmart Scholarship Applications are invited for Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join a group of micro Tumors in Cancer and Inflammation Center to work on projects funded by the Innovation Baxter 'Targeting Cancer-Related Inflammation in the murine model. " We are interested in cancer inflammation associated with a particular interest in the innate immune response and the interaction between cancer cells and surrounding stroma. This research will be based largely on Cancer and Inflammation Centre at Charterhouse Square.
The Walmart Scholarship successful applicant will be involved in a project which aims to investigate how cancer-related inflammation contributes to tumor growth, progression and metastasis. This project involves the in vitro and in vivo models of cancer. Especially in vivo experiments are very broad and includes a new generation of mouse crosses. appointed will hold a Home Office license to work with animals in the UK. essential requirements for this post include a PhD in the subject and previous experience relevant to molecular, immunological cancer biology, or angiogenesis. Demonstrate the ability to communicate well, work in teams and maintain good laboratory records are also important.
Post full-time and fixed term for one year, commencing on July 15, 2011, or as soon as possible hereafter. This Walmart Scholarship post is funded by a grant from the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
